Some Switzerland and Ireland

One of the best parts about studying abroad in Europe is how easy and efficient it is to travel on the weekends. Since I am studying in Florence, I have been able to take advantage of being so close to many different countries and cultures. From March 6 to March 8, I traveled to Switzerland, and it was one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. The scenery felt almost unreal, with clear lakes, mountains, and peaceful views everywhere. During my trip, I went kayaking and paragliding, which were both unforgettable experiences. Paragliding especially pushed me out of my comfort zone, but it gave me the chance to see Switzerland from a completely different perspective.

I also traveled to Dublin, Ireland for St. Patrick’s Day, which was such a fun and lively experience. Being in Dublin during one of its biggest celebrations was exciting because the whole city was filled with energy, music, decorations, and people celebrating together. I spent time exploring the city, walking through different areas, and taking in the culture and atmosphere of Ireland. These trips reminded me how valuable studying abroad is because learning does not only happen in the classroom. Traveling to Switzerland and Ireland allowed me to experience new places, meet different people, and create memories that I will always connect to my

semester abroad.
