Finance and Food Poisoning :(

This week, I had the amazing opportunity to travel to Barcelona, Spain, and it quickly became one of my favorite trips. Barcelona had such a lively energy, with beautiful beaches, incredible food, and so much culture everywhere I went. One of the biggest highlights was attending a Barça game and getting to watch the famous Lamine Yamal score in person, which was such an exciting experience. I also got to see the Sagrada Família, and it was even more breathtaking in person than I expected. Between the architecture, the beach, and the atmosphere of the city, Barcelona was such a memorable place to visit.

However, coming back to Florence was definitely more challenging than I expected. I had a big finance presentation waiting for me, and at the same time, I ended up getting severe food poisoning that left me in bed for six days. I will not lie, being sick in another country was one of the hardest parts of studying abroad, and I do not miss that feeling at all. It made me feel homesick and reminded me how much I missed the comfort of home, my family, and having someone there to take care of me. Even though studying abroad is full of exciting experiences, this week also reminded me that there are difficult moments too, especially when you are far away from the people and comforts you are used to.
